The exceptional geographical position of Oropa offers the opportunity to enjoy extraordinary excursions around the sanctuary.
It takes 7 minutes traveling by cableway to reach the Rosazza mountain refuge and the Savoia Hotel located 1900 meters above sea level; from there it is a fifteen-minute walk to Lake Mucrone, a basin of glacial origin located in a valley between Mount Mucrone and Mount Rosso. It is possible to choose between traditional climbing routes and trails equipped for expert hikers, including a 2-hour long uphill hike along Via Ferrata del Limbo featuring stairs and suspended bridges.
In the fir and beech forest behind the Sanctuary there is an adventure park equipped with twenty-five platforms positioned at a height ranging from 1.5 m to 8 m with ladders, liana ropes, obstacles and Tibetan bridges.

GIARDINO BOTANICO (A)
The Oropa botanical garden hosts approximately 500 species of plants in a vast green area of 20,000 square meters. In addition to a natural beech forest, one can enjoy the typical environments of the Biella mountains (spontaneous flora) such as high-altitude peat bogs and some rocky gardens where mountain plants from around the world are grown (ornamental flora).
