Desc: The Sacred Mount of Orta is a monumental complex with inner paths connecting the chapels through steps, cobbled as well as gravel and dirt roads, slopes and architectural barriers.
Disabled individuals who cannot walk or with reduced mobility can access the church of Saint Nicholas by car if equipped with a blue badge.
Once off the vehicle, the vehicle must be returned and parked in the parking area.

From the Sacred Mount it is possible to descend to the village of Orta (20 minutes) and continue along the lake climbing back up to the Sacred Mount in about 90 minutes.
Other charming itineraries on foot make it pleasant to climb to the panoramic Tower of Buccione and the Franciscan Convent of Monte Mesma from where it is possible to admire the lake and the Alps with a spectacular view of Monte Rosa (4636 meters above sea level).
